Udi's Gluten Free Baked Goods and Granolas a Big Hit at Fancy Food Show

Denver-based Udi’s Healthy Foods was proud to debut Udi’s Gluten Free Foods newest product line of certified gluten-free granola, breads, pizza crusts, muffins and plain bagels at the 56th Summer Fancy Foods Show held on June 27-29, 2010 in New York City.

Drawing on its artisan baking heritage, Udi’s Gluten Free Foods baked goods that have revolutionized the gluten free bread category. Recent industry data shows Udi’s Gluten Free Whole Grain and White Sandwich breads are the top two selling gluten-free breads in the country.

“Our breads look, feel and taste like traditional bread, which is what really differentiates us from our competitors,” said Chadwick White, Udi’s Gluten Free Foods Co-Founder and Director of Product Development, who has already received three marriage proposals from fans of his gluten-free creations. “And the best part is the ‘real’ bread-like texture – the breads are soft, not dense, and they don’t require toasting before eating.”

Udi’s Gluten Free Foods’ collection of baked goods includes:
•  Soft White Sandwich and Whole Grain Breads
•  Moist Blueberry, Lemon Streusel and Double Chocolate Muffins
•  Soft, chewy Plain Bagels
•  Thin, crispy Pizza Crusts.

Udi’s Gluten Free Granola line consists of Original, Cranberry, Vanilla and Au Naturel flavors. The granola is made with certified gluten-free oats. Our gluten-free oats are grown in fields that do not use wheat as a rotation crop and are processed in dedicated gluten-free mills, this greatly lowers the risk of cross-contamination.

“Gluten-free is not a trend,” said Etai Bar-on, Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Udi’s Gluten Free Foods. “Wheat allergies are real and affect one in 133 Americans. We provide solutions, especially for families where some members are gluten-free and some are not, because everyone enjoys our baked goods. The customer reaction has been unreal. People cry they are so happy to enjoy delicious tasting gluten-free breads,” Bar-on said.

Udi’s Gluten Free baked goods are currently available in 44 states, as well as for purchase online at www.udisglutenfree.com. They are carried by top grocery chains, including Whole Foods Market, King Soopers, Vitamin Cottage Natural Grocers, Sunflower Market, Sprouts Farmers Markets, Lund’s, Byerly’s, Kowalski’s Markets, Hy-Vee, Dierbergs, HEB and Central Market in Texas.

All of Udi’s Gluten Free baked goods are made in a 100 percent dedicated certified gluten-free bakery, which further eliminates and prevents the risk of cross-contamination. Udi’s Gluten Free Foods can be found in the grocery store freezer section or displayed ambient in the bakery aisle.
