My first Udi's experience
All three of my little girls and I are living wheat free due to food sensitivities. Since we changed their diet 14 months ago they have not been sick once, and my oldest daughter went from struggling with her grades to honor roll every quarter.
But we missed bread, bagels, real sandwiches. Packing lunches wasn’t very fun, the bread was so hard and icky the kids were just removing the filling as best they could. I went from baking on a weekly basis to just skipping lunch altogether, or eating poorly.
Then a friend told me that Jason’s Deli in Gilbert Arizona was offering sandwiches on gluten free bread and had a "kids eat free" night. Wow, good food, out in a deli, with the kids eating "like everyone else". The Deli let us know that they used Udi’s gluten free products so we went right out (the next morning) and bought everything we could try. We wish we could live next to the plant that bakes them. After we found Udi’s I was finally able to properly adapt some of my familys favorite recipes to the extent that my wheat loving husband asks for seconds just like he used to.
