Our Favorite Moments from 2013
By: Suzanne Wolke, Udi’s Social Media Manager
2013 was a great year for Udi’s and, while we can’t wait to see what 2014 will bring, we also want to reflect on some of our favorite moments from the past year.
We are extremely grateful to have been able to share the bond of gluten-freedom with you in so many unique ways. What was your most memorable, gluten-free inspired, moment of 2013?
In January of last year we made the trek to Park City, Utah, to spread gluten free goodness with the Sundance Film Festival community. We were overwhelmed with the support we received there and had a blast serving up delicious dishes at our Udi’s Pop-Up Cafe. See what happened in this winter wonderland here. Also, make sure to keep an eye out for us at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival next weekend….
During the spring we welcomed you to join us at our Gluten Free Table with your favorite potluck recipes. And you didn’t disappoint! We received nearly 8,000 delicious gluten-free recipe entries that had us drooling. We love having such a great community that knows how yummy gluten free can be. Congrats to our grand prize winner Nicole M.!
You showed us your amazing dance moves and love for some great gluten free BBQ during our “Shake Your Udi’s, Boogie Your Buns” tour! Our disco dances made their way from Portland to Boulder, spreading the love and staging Gluten Free Disco Parties everywhere they went. See pictures from the tour here. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by our parties and helped us show off our gluten free buns!
Building on our GFF theme, this year we thought it be appropriate to host a Friendsgiving in the Udi’s office. Throughout the month of November we asked you to share you favorite #glutenfree thanksgiving recipes on Pinterest during our #TDayRoundUp. It was hard but eventually we chose our favorites to be featured on our official Udi’s Friendgiving Menu. You can find all the amazing recipes on this blog and make sure to see how everything turned out here!
We closed out the year by paying a little extra attention to the Simple Joys of (Gluten Free) Life. You helped realize to be grateful for the tiny things that happen each day; eating a scrumptious breakfast for dinner one night, knowing that champagne is naturally gluten free, being sent gluten free cookies by your Secret Santa, or that unexpected (and delicious) gluten free airline meal. We’re definitely taking these moments of gratefulness with us to 2014. What were your favorite #SimpleJoys of 2013?
Thanks again for an amazing 2013! We’d love to hear your favorite Udi’s inspired moments below.
