Top GF Pastas

Did you know October 25th was declared World Pasta Day  by the World Pasta Congress in 1995!?  The goal of this international holiday is to emphasize the fact that pasta is a global food and is enjoyed throughout every continent in world. Now we’re happy to participate in this celebration – but as long as that bowl of noodles is gluten free!  Luckily there are some great gluten free, ready-made options available to help bring your Italian-inspired dish to light. And if you’re really ambitious, we’ve even found some recipes that will help you make your own home-made pasta (now if that’s not authentically Italian we don’t know what is) in the comfort of your own kitchen!

Keep reading for our favorite gluten-free pasta brands and recipes. Don’t forget to add your own in the comments below!

  • Glutino Pasta – We especially love their Macaroni style noodles – perfect for Mac & Cheese!
  • Andean Dream – Another great Quinoa option. Definitely try their spaghetti and macaroni pastas.
  • Jovial  – Need a great Penne option? Try Jovial’s Brown Rice Penne Rigate!
  • DeLallo – This is a 100% brown rice pasta. Especially their Fusilli has received great reviews.

    Thank you! That is all.

  2. Katherine says:

I love Edison Grainery quinoa pasta. I have tried a lot of GFree pasta and this one wins hands down even with the gluten consuming crowd.

  3. Patty in Portland says:

As a pasta-holic, I have tried every brand of GF pasta I’ve come across. Several named in this article have not yet hit my stores (or at least where I shop most often) but they are getting better. I love the GF pastas sold by Trader Joe’s. Best tasting I’ve found so far. But, as a true pasta lover, I keep trying others too.

  4. Barilla is the best pasta that I have found. I make a dish with loose Italian sweet sausage, olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes, broccoli rabe & gf penne.. Delicious!!

  5. Emma says:

I love Annie’s brown rice pasta as well as Barilla’s Gluten Free penne

  6. Mary Anne Hoben says:

The Jovial egg noodles are especially good!
